Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
No. I am an out-of-network provider. This means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill (a specialized medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Why private pay instead of insurance?
Using private pay allows us to focus entirely on your needs rather than insurance mandates. It ensures complete privacy (no diagnosis required on your permanent medical record) and allows us to determine the length and type of treatment that works best for you, not what an insurance adjuster dictates.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards, HSA (Health Savings Account) cards, and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients with financial need. Please inquire during our consultation to see if a spot is currently available.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
How long does therapy typically last?
Therapy is different for everyone. Some clients find relief in 8–12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We will regularly review your progress to ensure you are getting what you need.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients located anywhere in Texas.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a get-to-know-you deep dive. We will discuss your history, what brings you to therapy now, and collaborate on a clear plan for our work together.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
Research shows the relationship with your therapist is the most important factor in success. That is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a feel for my style and ask questions before committing.
